At lease once a month my clients tell me how much they love living and working in Canada . Of course…. A statement like that always has a “But”. No matter how it started it always goes like this “ Joel, I really love Canada, I love my new promotion and I know I can do really great things here BUT my spouse is miserable. Always moping around the house like a zombie from the Walking Dead or shopping away boredom like a Desperate Housewife. I think I might have to give up my dreams and return home.”
Both Canada and the USA have specifically identified that allowing spouses to work is good for everyone. So, if your spouse wants to work too, let me know and I’ll fix it.
What do Russell Brand. L’il Wayne and Wes Bentley have in common? They have all been denied entry to Canada due to criminality. “Soft Drug” possession, DUIs or a list of small offences, even 10 years old, can result in you being denied entry to Canada.
Just because they were denied entry does not mean you will be denied entry. The key is showing Immigration that your negative past is exactly that, the past.
